Cajun Style Broiled Halibut

Halibut steaks smothered in Cajun spice mixture and broiled until it browns and flakes easily.
Ingredients -
2 tablespoon Paprika
1 1/2 teaspoon Dried Oregano
1 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper, to taste
4 (4-6 ounces) Halibut Steaks, thawed if necessary
 
Preparation:

1. Combine paprika, dried oregano, dried thyme, onion powder, fresh ground black pepper, garlic powder, salt and cayenne pepper.

2. Sprinkle 1/2-teaspoon Cajun spice mixture over each halibut steak.

3. Broil 10 minutes. Test to ensure fish flakes easily with fork.

4. Save remaining spice mixture in airtight jar.

 


Cooking Tip
Cayenne Pepper
For additional heat, increase the amount of Cayenne pepper. Halibut is delicious and mild, so spicing it up just makes sense.
